Online & In-person Atha Yog Classes

Yoga is a Sarvang-Sadhna/ a whole body-mind-soul practice.
We here, at Atha Yog, offer group classes that provide a practitioner a holistic experience.

We specialize in Vinyasa Krama Yoga classes that are offered Online as well as In-person. It is a 60-minute practice comprising of Asana/Physical postures, Pranayama/Breathing techniques, different kriyas for Pratyahara/Sensory Control and lastly Dharana/Dhyana which is meditation. In Vinyasa Krama, Asanas/Postures are repetitive dynamic movements coupled with mindfulness and breathwork, arranged in a “Krama”- specific sequences to reap maximum benefit for the body and mind. Like my Guru Ramaswami says “Asanas” help reduce Rajasic tendencies and “Pranayama” help reduce Tamasic tendencies, thus increasing Satvic tendencies which help induce calm in a practitioner’s mind, helping her deepen her meditation practice and improve her body’s flexibility. It's a feel good class, open to all levels. 
Prior yoga experience is recommended.

Yoga Nidra classes is a therapeutic yoga class, which starts with slow, gentle movements. It is followed by a longer yogic sleep, called Nidra, where the real healing takes place. This state of yoga nidra is achieved through complete deep relaxation, with clear consciousness leading to psychic sleep experience. It is more effective and beneficial than the normal sleep and helps cure many disorders and diseases .
Longer holds of asana and passive stretching are the key to this class.
No prior yoga experience is needed.
